Special Requirement: Must be able to read music

Choir is offered for intermediate and advanced choir students who have completed the sixth grade. Choir students must be able to read music. The emphasis is on developing individual and ensemble skills. The Choir Director introduces a representative sample of the best choral literature in order to enhance vocal production while elevating the students appreciation of our rich musical culture and tradition. Rehearsals include vocal warmups, breathing techniques, rhythmic exercises, as well as work on a rich variety of vocal literature.

Choir students also have the opportunity to collaborate with the full orchestra in a performance piece during the final concert.
