Attend YMA's guitar program and build your classical guitar or acoustic steel-string guitar skills in an encouraging environment while expanding your exposure to various playing styles.

The YMA Guitar program is open to students of all levels, with particular encouragement to applicants with basic musical literacy and/or guitar experience. Advanced students will be challenged with more difficult parts and may have the opportunity to work in smaller ensembles to hone their skills. There are also opportunities to play in the Jazz program. You’ll have many chances to perform throughout the YMA session, from evening student recitals to the Final Performances on the last week of camp.
