About YMA
In 1965, YMA began as a special summer program where students could be inspired to work on their music during the long summer months.
YMA has expanded its goal to include not only students in instrumental music, but theatre, musical theatre, choir, piano, dance, photography, the visual arts, and creative writing. YMA students increase their artistic skills while building self-esteem and an appreciation for all the performing and visual arts.
YMA is a two-week resident visual and performing arts summer program housed at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. Our students range from grades four through twelve.
"YMA is the most intense, loving education I have ever received."
